LHH Recruitment Solutions in Florence, KY seeks a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will prepare and post journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and support month-end close.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 2+ years in accounting, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of GAAP. Manufacturing ERP and inventory/cost accounting experience preferred; on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of month-end close procedures.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries; maintain GL accuracy.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist month-end close.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting processes.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
