Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for an onsite Ashburn, VA role. This Temp-to-Permanent assignment runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with compensation of $25.00–$36.00 per hour. Eligible benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

You will manage full-cycle accounts payable/receivable activities, monthly reconciliations, month-end close support, and GAAP-compliant reporting. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are required; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years Staff Accountant or related accounting experience preferred.
• Sharp recent Accounting or Finance graduates will also be considered.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Sage Intacct experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts receivable activities
• Complete monthly account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly schedules and sales reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP
• Support journal entries, account analysis, and other general accounting activities
• Assist with financial reporting and accounting-related projects
• Work closely with senior accounting leadership to resolve discrepancies
• Communicate professionally with internal employees, customers, and vendors
• Identify accounting issues or opportunities for process improvement
• Support additional projects and functions across the accounting and finance department as needed
