Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its Atlantic Region finance team in Ashburn, VA. This role focuses on core accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement within a collaborative environment.

You will support the general ledger, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and Sage Intacct processing while contributing to audits and tax schedules. This is an on-site, permanent position with growth opportunities and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in Excel; Sage Intacct experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support full-cycle accounting activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Perform daily and monthly bank account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to accruals, prepaid expenses, and deferred revenue.
• Import daily revenue transactions into the accounting system, Sage Intacct.
• Assist with annual audits and financial reviews by preparing supporting documentation, schedules, and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing year-end tax schedules and other requested financial documentation.
• Respond professionally and promptly to internal and external accounting inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting initiatives and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the finance department.
