Ensemble is seeking a Specialized Coder for on-site work at Tower - Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA. The role focuses on physician coding in Cardiology, Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery, or Vascular Surgery, reviewing charges and ensuring accurate encounters.

Requirements include 3+ years coding experience, EPIC proficiency, and knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS. On-site position with potential travel for education and training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of coding experience.
• Expert knowledge in Cardiology, Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery or Vascular Surgery coding.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Experience with EPIC and coding software tools.

Responsibilities

• Code claims directly from the medical record/operative report according to coding guidelines.
• Accurate and timely completion of work queues as assigned.
• Track and identify trends in charge reviews and assist leadership in resolution and education.
• Maintain compliance with policies, quality improvement, and productivity expectations.
• Achieve personal quality and productivity metrics in daily duties; mentor others.
• Provide/provider education and develop educational tools; communicate professionally with physicians and management.
• Participate in coding meetings and stays updated on payer guidelines and edits.
