Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Specialized Coder with deep expertise in physician coding for Cardiology and Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery. You will review physician charges, ensure accurate coding, and support provider education across teams.

Candidates should have 3+ years of coding experience, EPIC proficiency, and knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS. A high school diploma or GED is required, with strong organizational and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of coding experience.
• Expert knowledge in Cardiology, Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery or Vascular Surgery coding.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Experience with EPIC and coding software tools.
• Ability to educate and mentor coding staff and providers.

Responsibilities

• Code claims from medical records per coding guidelines.
• Complete work queues accurately and on time.
• Identify trends in charge review and assist leadership.
• Research denied claims and support provider education.
• Maintain compliance with policies and quality metrics.
• Achieve quality and productivity targets set by leadership.
• Provide education and develop training tools for the team.
• Communicate professionally with physicians and peers.
• Stay updated on payer guidelines and coding edits.
• Assist training of other coders and participate in projects.
