Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a detail-driven Project Controls Specialist to monitor schedules, costs, and reporting for utility-scale solar projects. The role is site-based and travels up to 100%, averaging 8–12 months per project, with per diem and vehicle allowance.

You will work across MasTec Renewables' renewables portfolio to ensure timely, profitable project delivery. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in project controls, strong Excel and Primavera P6 skills, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in project controls, cost scheduling, and planning.
• Certification from AACEi, PMI, or related institute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor schedule and earned value baselines.
• Maintain the master construction schedule baseline and updates.
• Analyze schedule performance, critical paths, and delays.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports.
• Track job costs and forecast monthly revenue streams.
• Establish and maintain cost control systems with monthly reporting.
• Prepare project progress billings and client updates.
• Review subcontractor payments and issue change orders.
