Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks an Electrical Field Engineer to support utility-scale solar construction. The role emphasizes HV systems, on-site inspections, and collaboration with AHJs across multiple project sites.

Ideal candidates bring electrical engineering credentials, field execution experience, and a proactive safety mindset. Projects rotate across U.S. sites, with periodic rotations and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Professional electrical experience in industrial/utility-scale environments.
• Experience supporting field construction under tight schedules.
• Experience creating reports and compiling field data.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site construction activities with a focus on electrical and HV systems.
• Coordinate inspections and discussions with AHJs for electrical/HV components.
• Create and conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) to verify installations.
• Document and maintain construction/engineering drawings and red-line sets.
• Manage RFIs between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and project owners.
• Review submittals and verify compliance with specs.
• Hold subcontractors and self-perform teams accountable for scope and safety.
• Assist in electrical specs and data sheets during pre-construction.
• Collaborate to resolve project constraints with PM/engineering/construction teams.
• Maintain stormwater logs and coordinate remediation as needed.
• Operate drones to capture progress and conditions.
