Boston Government Services seeks a Shift Technical Adviser for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role requires deep technical expertise to understand the approved safety basis and assess changes for safe operation at the facility.

Responsibilities include coordinating with operations and support teams, troubleshooting to resolve issues, leading cross-divisional projects, and delivering technical briefings on compliance methods.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree and 15–20 years of direct nuclear, engineering, or security-related experience.
MS/MA degree with 14–18 years of related work experience acceptable.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DOE Q security clearance and HRP certification.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary support for the Operations Manager and Shift Manager to ensure daily operations are safe and compliant with procedures.
Interface with support organizations to ensure planned operations meet safety basis and authorized work.
Troubleshoot and improve issues to meet compliance and improve operational effectiveness.
Coordinate large cross-functional activities as needed across multiple interfaces.
Present technical briefings describing facility operations and compliance methods.
Evaluate modifications against the documented safety analysis per the unreviewed safety question.
