Boston Government Services, LLC is seeking a Shift Technical Advisor to support the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. This full-time, on-site position requires deep technical expertise to understand the safety basis for operations and evaluate changes for safe implementation.

The role emphasizes project leadership, cross-functional coordination, and adherence to DOE requirements within a highly regulated environment, including occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus 15–20 years of direct experience, or MA/MS with 14–18 years.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance and HRP Certification.
• Successful drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operations support member for the Operations Manager and Shift Manager to ensure safe, effective daily operations.
• Interface with support organizations to confirm planned operations comply with safety basis and authorized work.
• Troubleshoot and drive improvements for issues within operations management scope.
• Lead or coordinate cross-functional, large-scale activities spanning multiple interfaces.
• Present technical briefings explaining approved facility operations and compliance methods.
• Evaluate proposed modifications against the approved Documented Safety Analysis via the Unreviewed Safety Question.
• Determine processes to ensure changes stay within facility scope and methods.
• Provide on-call coverage for assigned weekends as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
