Job summary

ZealHire Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to implement and support the agency's IT network infrastructure on-site in Mechanicsville, VA.

The role involves day-to-day operations, documentation, analysis, and deployment across enterprise networks. The candidate should have hands-on expertise with routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers, plus experience in SDWAN and cloud networking.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, APs, and load balancers.
• Design, install and troubleshoot local- and wide-area enterprise networks.
• Experience engineering and design in the networking field.
• Experience monitoring IT environments for security policy compliance.
• Experience creating scalable, fault-tolerant network architectures.
• Experience creating network diagrams with Visio or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, IPsec, SNMP, MPLS.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day network support and documentation for client infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network issues and document resolutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and configurations.
• Assist in installation, documentation, and upgrades of facility data networks.
• Coordinate with cloud and DevSecOps teams for hybrid connectivity and SDWAN tuning.
• Provide topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls as needed.
• Work independently on assigned networking projects.
• Maintain up-to-date network documentation and diagrams.
