Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for infrastructure and security projects in Los Alamos, NM. This role leads on-site engineering, design coordination, and field support through turnover and closeout, ensuring security intent and project quality.

The candidate will coordinate diverse disciplines, manage design reviews, field changes, and cost tracking while mentoring junior engineers in a high-security, DOE-related environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of project engineering experience in commercial infrastructure or high-security facilities.
• Experience leading design through construction and closeout; nuclear facilities preferred.
• Proficiency with ProjectSight, Delta, Aproove, and MS Office.
• Strong coordination, change management, and schedule awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and field activities as the technical point of contact for assigned scope.
• Coordinate interfaces across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and security disciplines.
• Manage design reviews, RFIs, and field changes with stakeholders.
• Ensure security design intent, quality, and safety in all activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and support commissioning and turnover.
