Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering seeks an experienced Project Engineer to lead on‑site engineering activities for large‑scale infrastructure and security projects in Los Alamos, NM. You will drive design management, construction support, and field execution, interfacing with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, secure, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years’ project engineering experience on commercial infrastructure or high‑security facilities.
• Experience leading on-site engineering teams and coordinating with multidisciplinary design and construction groups.
• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
• Proficient in ProjectSight, Delta, Aproove and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate security and infrastructure design interfaces across MEP, structural, network, and security sub‑systems.
• Lead on‑site engineering effort from design development through construction, turnover and closeout.
• Manage technical document control, submittals, RFIs, and cost tracking from the job site.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with security and quality standards.
• Interface with construction management, designers of record, subcontractors, and facility operations.
