Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an onsite design/structures engineer specializing in composites for advanced engine projects in East Hartford, CT. You will perform design and structural analysis from concept through detail, selecting materials and performing FEA to meet requirements.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required. Travel ~10% and mentorship of engineers are included in the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience in Defense/Aerospace.
• Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design/structures engineer for composite components on engine projects.
• Provide design and structural analysis through all design phases, including validation and certification.
• Mentor developing engineers on the team.
