Titan Secure Inc in Hempstead, NY is seeking a Security Guard to be the first point of contact for visitors and the person responsible for keeping the site safe. Qualifications

• Must have valid New York State Security Guard Registration or be willing to register before first shift.
• Complete the 16-Hour On-the-Job Training within 90 days of hire, and the 8-Hour Annual In-Service course each year.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass fingerprinting and background check for state registration.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Clear spoken and written English for radio calls and incident reports.
• Able to stand and walk for most of a shift; reliable transportation to Hempstead.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property on foot and check doors, gates, lighting and alarms
• Staff the front desk or gate: greet visitors, check ID, sign guests in and issue passes
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to alerts
• Control access for employees, contractors, deliveries and vehicles
• Respond to incidents, disturbances and emergencies, and call police, fire or EMS when needed
• Write clear daily activity logs and incident reports
• Spot and report safety hazards, suspicious activity and policy violations
• Give directions and help to employees, tenants, customers and visitors
• Follow site post orders and company procedures at all times
