Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Onsite Safety Professional to serve as the primary safety authority for major campus developments in the East Region. Deployments span 3– to 5-year engagements to ensure rigorous safety compliance and risk mitigation on client sites. The role combines field oversight (70%) with documentation (30%), requiring five days on-site per week.

Shifts vary from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to longer hours during incidents, with assignments in Manassas, VA and Summerville, SC and relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years construction safety experience in critical environments.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and understand codes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Field Oversight & Compliance: conduct daily site walks and enforce safety protocols.
• Documentation & Reporting: manage safety records and weekly/monthly summaries.
• Strategic Advisory: coach site safety committee with data-driven insights.
• Risk Management: conduct hazard assessments and escalate non-compliance.
• Communication & Collaboration: lead safety meetings and share EHS information site-wide.
• Project Lifecycle Support: assist in design reviews and DCCEHSP development.
• Operational Execution: oversee Boots on the Ground program and EHS impact meetings.
