Qualifications

• B.S. in Safety & Environmental Health or related field preferred and 2 to 4 years of safety experience.
• OSHA 30 required.
• 1 year of direct or indirect supervisor experience.
• Demonstrates accurate record keeping skills.
• Demonstrates proficiency using a PC and company communication tools (email, internet, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Organizes and administers Loss Prevention records and reports.
• Trains employees about company safety policies and hazards on the project.
• Requisitions safety, first aid and fire prevention equipment and ensure it stays in good condition.
• Performs daily inspections of the job site, shops and material stockyards.
• Reports unsafe acts or conditions and follows up on corrective actions.
• Coordinates all Loss Prevention efforts with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Prepares minutes of weekly safety meetings with supervisors.
• Maintains accident and safety records (OSHA forms, reports).
