Irving Tissue is seeking a Safety Coordinator for our Macon, GA site. The role focuses on implementing safety initiatives to protect employees, the public, and the environment, and operates on a 12-hour day shift with crew rotations.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of industrial safety experience, strong incident investigation and hazard assessment skills, and preferably a BS/AA in Health and Safety. Relocation support may be considered.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred BS or AA in Health and Safety.
• At least three (3) years of experience in an industrial setting with safety responsibilities.
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Perform equipment safety audits / inspections.
• Respond to plant emergencies (medical, fire, spill, etc.).
• Facilitate hazard assessments process (JSA, Risk Assessments).
• Provide follow up on hazards reported by employees.
• Assist supervisors with incident investigations.
• Provide safety communication to employees.
• Develop and conduct employee training programs for accident, fire prevention and protection.
