Job summary

Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company is seeking a proactive Field Safety Coordinator to support our Southeast division. You will champion safety culture, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement across field sites, reporting to the Corporate Safety Director.

The ideal candidate will have OSHA knowledge, 3+ years of construction safety experience, and strong communication skills to engage all levels of personnel. Occasional travel and a path to full-time placement are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience identifying safety hazards and implementing hazard controls on construction sites.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of personnel in safety programs.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction site safety standards.
• Experience creating and evaluating Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and Pre-Task Plans (PTPs).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety audits and document findings using Safety Reports software.
• Provide coaching and on-site training to ensure teams follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Monitor high-risk activities and collaborate with contractors to apply best safety practices.
• Represent Cooper Tacia’s safety interests on-site and advocate for high health and safety standards.
• Investigate safety incidents and assist in corrective action plans.
• Travel to job sites as required by project needs.
