Job summary

McKenney’s is seeking a Safety Lead to ensure project safety accountability across multiple sites in Atlanta, GA. You will work with the Safety Manager to align safety strategies, oversee inspections, and drive compliance with regulations.

The role requires hands-on field safety experience, OSHA 500, and the ability to coordinate with field teams, perform incident investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. This is a night-to-day field position with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of field safety experience.
• Minimum OSHA 500.
• Basic understanding of construction OSHA (federal or state).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: at least 5 years of mechanical contractor trade experience.

Responsibilities

• Support safety program accountability and ensure compliance with company, client, and state/federal regulations.
• Participate in daily safety huddles, respond to safety requests, and coordinate with field personnel.
• Inspect sites, report hazards, and implement risk reduction plans with the Safety Manager.
• Assist in job safety preplanning and pre-task analysis with project leadership.
• Conduct incident response, root cause analysis, and retraining as needed.
