Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL, seeks a Risk Management Manager to lead the program protecting patients, staff, and assets. The role centers on reducing risk in patient care, compliance, safety, and operations with cross-department collaboration and involvement in performance improvement and claims support.

Responsibilities include designing and coordinating the risk program, reporting data trends to committees, staff education, and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Five years clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting with at least two years in risk management in an acute care setting.
• Experience in risk management and/or professional liability claims management.
• Should be knowledgeable about current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to facility.

Responsibilities

• Design, organize, coordinate, and implement the Risk Management Program to minimize loss and protect assets.
• Participate in performance improvement data collection and trend analysis; present findings to committees.
• Assist with claims investigation, management and litigation; facilitate safety data reporting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on problem identification, resolution, and cost containment.
