Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated Risk Management professional to support the Director of Performance Improvement. You will help design and implement the risk management program, collect and analyze data, and work with safety and security teams to reduce loss and improve patient care.

A BSN or healthcare field, plus risk management experience and knowledge of state laws, are preferred. This on-site role offers dayshift hours in Lynwood, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or healthcare related field preferred.
• Fellow or Diplomat of American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), preferred.
• Two Years of Quality or Risk Management experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting. Risk Management experience in acute care setting is preferred.
• Experience in risk management and/or professional liability claims management preferred.
• Should be knowledgeable about current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, organizing, coordinating and implementing the Risk Management Program.
• Participate in performance improvement data collection and trend analysis.
• Assist with claims investigation, management and litigation.
• Facilitate reporting of safety data/events and risk incidents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution.

Education

BSN or healthcare field

ARM/CPHRM credential preferred

2+ years risk management experience
