Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building cleanliness, safety, and proper operation of property amenities. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and perform preventative maintenance on-site.

Responsibilities include making-ready vacant units, inventory management, documentation, and assisting with grounds and amenities. Certifications and valid driver’s license are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and local jurisdiction certification compliance for service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Handles make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Manages material access by tracking inventory and notifying supervisor when re-orders are needed.
• Completes documentation for service requests to enable tracking and reporting.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, amenities, and common areas through cleaning and minor repairs.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
