Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Community Relations Representative in Camarillo, CA. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service to residents, managing communications via CRM, and facilitating smooth move-in and move-out processes.

Work is performed primarily in person at an Essex office, with some virtual communication when needed. A high school diploma is required and on-site work five days a week is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service and helping people.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must work on-site in the office five days per week.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with property management or CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary in-person contact for residents.
• Manage communications and inquiries via the CRM system.
• Facilitate move-in/move-out experiences and handle related paperwork.
• Address resident questions promptly, in-person or virtually.
• Respond to portfolio tasks and calls within required response times.
• Maintain knowledge of the assigned community portfolio and operations.
• Support community operations with the Community Management Team.
• Assist in organizing resident events across the portfolio.
• Handle confidential resident and property information with discretion.
• Attend on-site five days per week and communicate effectively.
