Job summary

Essex Property Trust seeks a Community Relations Representative to serve as the primary in-person contact for residents and prospective residents. You will manage communications through the CRM, facilitate smooth move-in/out processes, and support daily community operations with strong customer service.

You will collaborate with the Community Management Team, maintain knowledge of the portfolio, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing, tenant regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary in-person contact for residents.
• Manage all communications and inquiries via the CRM system.
• Facilitate move-in and move-out experiences, including paperwork and ID checks.
• Address resident questions promptly and professionally, in-person or virtually.
• Support community operations and resident satisfaction through collaboration with the Community Management Team.
• Maintain knowledge of the assigned community portfolio and its operations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and safety standards.
