Collins Aerospace seeks an engineering leader for One-Offs AMTS Advanced Aerostructures Engineering in Chula Vista, onsite. You will oversee design, development and delivery of engineered solutions for airline customers, ensuring conformance to engineering standards and customer requirements.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, effective communication with internal and external customers, and the ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Firm working knowledge of repairs methods.
• Experience in repair design techniques.
• Experience in customer interactions / customer service and managing critical situations.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience in continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineering professionals in One-Offs AMTS Advanced Aerostructures Engineering.
• Oversees design, development, and delivery of engineered solutions for Airline customers to ensure conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards.
• Ensures that work assigned and completed meets established engineering schedules and business objectives while satisfying customer requirements.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
• Able to stay calm under pressure and resolve issues quickly in ambiguous situations.
• Monitors customer service performance (health of one-offs, OTD / DTP / Quality) and ensures efficient, reliable, high-quality activities.
• Provides day-to-day resource planning.
• Coordinates with other groups to resolve customer issues and works with global teams.
