Responsibilities

• Develop engineering repair instructions for aerospace nacelle components.
• Design and support repairs for metallic and composite aircraft structures.
• Develop and approve repair concepts and allowable damage limits for SRM applications.
• Support SRM, CMM, and AMM repair documentation and development.
• Prepare engineering repair packages for submission to the Type Certificate Holder.
• Collaborate with engine manufacturers, airframers, customers, and production engineering teams.
• Resolve complex technical issues and provide engineering recommendations.
• Act as a technical point of contact for internal and external customers.
• Manage multiple repair assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Support engineering standardization and process improvement initiatives.

SJ Mobilita is looking for an experienced Repair Engineer to support aerospace aftermarket operations in Chula Vista, California, United States. This is an excellent opportunity for an aerospace engineering professional with strong experience in aircraft structures, repair development, and MRO engineering to work on commercial aircraft nacelle components and complex structural repair programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions and repair instructions for aerospace nacelle components.
• Design and support repairs for metallic and composite aircraft structures.
• Develop and approve repair concepts and allowable damage limits for SRM applications.
• Support SRM, CMM, and AMM repair documentation and development.
• Prepare engineering repair packages for submission to the Type Certificate Holder.

• Working knowledge of SRM, ASR, CMM, and AMM documentation.
• Strong technical writing and engineering documentation skills.
• Customer-facing or customer-support engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of aerospace nacelle systems.
• Familiarity with specialty aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Excel VBA and Visual Basic.
