Job summary

RTX, in collaboration with Collins Aerospace, seeks an advanced Repair Engineering professional in an onsite role in Chula Vista, CA. You will design and approve complex repairs, implementing technical solutions to minimize aircraft downtime while ensuring FAA/EASA compliance.

The position expects strong CATIA CAD skills and cross-functional teamwork. We require a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in repair engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with CATIA and other CAD tools required.

Responsibilities

• Designs and approves complex repairs and provides technical solutions to minimize aircraft downtime on Collins Aerostructures nacelle hardware (FAA/EASA compliant).
• Manages multiple complex customer inquiries and leads cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Takes ownership of situations to ensure team and customer goals are met.
• Applies technical knowledge to repair design development on metallic and composite structures.
• Provides technical guidance to junior engineers.
