Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Repair Design Engineer for the Military Repair Group, focused on developing repairs for military engines. You will own multiple projects, organize testing, coordinate approvals, and mentor junior engineers while interfacing with IPTs and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Gas Turbine components, operation, design and maintenance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a multi-discipline team to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs meet OEM quality.
• Research operating environments and component interactions to restore non-conforming parts.
• Create technical documents with engineering repair requirements.
• Interface with program management to secure priorities and address programmatic issues.
• Support customers in resolving field supportability issues.
• Lead audits of repair vendors to confirm repair methods meet quality standards.
