Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aircraft engines and aerospace propulsion, seeks an experienced engineer to understand and resolve engine-related issues during overhaul. This onsite role emphasizes collaboration with MROs and Airlines to address in-service events and AOG situations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with an advanced degree). U.S. citizenship is required; relocation benefits may be available as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement corrective action for engine related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.
  • Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
  • Support Airlines to resolve Aircrafts on the Ground (AOGs) and coordinate resolution of service issues.
  • Initiate technical data development of documentation for engine/module piece part inspection and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
  • Coordinate with the technical publication organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications’ issues related to their hardware.
  • Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
  • Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs – Customer Part Returns)
  • Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs)
