Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for our healthcare team at John J Kane Regional Center in Pittsburgh. The RD will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and work to enhance quality of life aligned with patient goals.

The ideal candidate will diagnose nutritional needs, educate staff and patients, and ensure care plans meet regulatory standards. This full-time, on-site role supports a broad patient population within a hospital-like setting.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per the CDR’s requirements.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and provider regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
