Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team at John J Kane Regional Center in Pittsburgh. You will assess residents’ nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and help maintain quality of life aligned with patient goals.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will educate staff and residents, follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and participate in ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in developing, reviewing, and revising continuous quality improvement programs.
