Job summary

Elior Living is seeking an experienced registered dietitian for our healthcare team at John J Kane Regional Center in Pittsburgh. You will identify and assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions to support residents, and help enhance quality of life in line with patient goals.

Responsibilities include educating staff and residents, adhering to standards of practice, coordinating with dining services, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• CDR certification or eligibility as per Academy requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in developing, reviewing, and improving quality improvement programs.
