Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a registered dietitian to join the healthcare team at John J. Kane Regional Center - Scott in Pittsburgh.

You will assess nutritional needs, implement interventions to maintain or improve status, and enhance quality of life for residents in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include providing nutrition expertise to the care team, educating staff and residents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Qualifications

• Passed a national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified as required by state.
• Knowledge of regulations for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to educate others on nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in quality improvement programs development and reviews.
