Job summary

Elior Living is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team at John J Kane Regional Center - Scott in Pittsburgh. You will identify and assess the nutritional needs of residents, initiate interventions, and help maintain their nutritional status and quality of life.

As part of Cura-Hospitality, you will educate staff and residents, follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and collaborate with other departments to improve dining services and nutrition

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
