Job summary

Elior Living is seeking a registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutrition needs, initiate interventions, and improve residents' nutritional status to enhance quality of life aligned with individual goals.

Responsibilities include educating staff, following professional standards, collaborating across departments, and contributing to continuous quality improvement programs within John J. Kane Regional Center - Scott.

Qualifications

• Passes the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets AND eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and improvement of quality assurance programs.
