Job summary

Elior North America is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team at Berks Heim Nursing Home in Leesport. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve residents’ quality of life in alignment with their goals.

You will educate staff and residents, adhere to professional standards, and collaborate across departments to support dining services and nutrition programs. The role emphasizes continuous quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per AND.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR portfolio process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements; knowledge of regulations for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
