Job summary

Elior North America is seeking an experienced registered dietitian for a healthcare nutrition role in the Pittsburgh area. You will assess patients' nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve quality of life per patient goals.

The role requires CDR eligibility, ongoing CE hours, state licensure, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to educate others on nutrition and dietetics. Healthcare/long-term care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Passed a national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
