Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software Department, starting May 2027. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and releasing real-time software for radar and C2 systems, with an emphasis on Agile and DevSecOps practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong software foundation, be able to work 100% onsite in Massachusetts, and pursue a U.S. security clearance. Citizenship is required for DoD access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
• Experience developing software with C, C++, Java, or Ada.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in requirements, design, development and testing of real-time application software.
• Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
• Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
• Follow established development practices and processes to maintain software configuration management.
• Work on an agile team developing software for one of the MDS Department's programs.
