Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Missile Defense Sensors Software Department onsite in the US starting January 2027. You will design, develop, test, and release real-time software for radar and C2 programs, contributing to high-quality deployments in an Agile/DevSecOps environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong software foundation, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work 100% onsite in a security-sensitive context. U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Experience developing software with C, C++, Java, or Ada.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in requirements, design, development and testing of real-time software and tools.
• Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
• Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
• Follow established development practices to maintain software configuration management.
• Work on an agile team delivering software for one of the MDS Department’s programs.
