Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software Department starting in May 2027. The MDS SW mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline.
• Experience developing software with C, C++, Java, or Ada.
• Eligible for U.S. government security clearance (citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in requirements, design, development and testing of real-time software and tools.
• Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
• Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
• Follow established development practices and processes to maintain configuration management.
• Work on an agile team delivering software for one of the MDS programs.
