Job summary

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking an experienced Property Manager to lead onsite operations at Coventry Gardens Apartments in Richmond, Virginia. You will oversee a multifamily community, supervise staff, support residents, manage leasing activity, and ensure strong financial and regulatory performance.

The ideal candidate has LIHTC and Project-Based Section 8 experience, a proven leasing background, and the ability to balance resident service with property goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of property management experience.
• Minimum 2 years of LIHTC and Project-Based Section 8 housing experience.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Strong leasing and sales experience.
• Basic math and bookkeeping skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems used for financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead onsite staff and coordinate resident services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations and onsite processes.
• Lead resident retention, marketing, leasing, and customer service.
• Direct workload and supervise onsite personnel.
• Hire, train, and manage onsite staff.
• Conduct property inspections and monitor conditions.
• Communicate with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Manage financial tasks including rent collections, deposits, and budgeting.
• Maintain LIHTC and Project-Based Section 8 compliance.
• Participate in meetings and trainings.
