Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to uphold the physical standards of our properties. You will handle work orders, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with the make-ready process for new move-ins.

You’ll track materials, document service activities, and keep common areas clean. The role includes OSHA training, EPA refrigerant certifications, and a valid driver’s license for property duties.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Follows procedures to access materials, track inventory, return unused items, and notify the supervisor about re-orders.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to ensure service requests are tracked.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Attends safety meetings and completes required training on OSHA and related laws, reporting incidents promptly.
• May inspect contractors’ work to verify quality and scope.
