Job summary

Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of our properties, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality across buildings, grounds, and amenities.

You will handle work orders, complete the make-ready process for vacant units, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors. The role supports cost-control by repairing parts when feasible and requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (applicable to certified service technicians)
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspections.
• Tracks materials and returns unused items; notifies maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, debris removal, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adheres to safety policies, attends safety meetings, and reports accidents promptly.
• May inspect contractor work to verify quality against standards and scope.
• Assists in routine property inspections and communicates needs to management.
