Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Las Vegas to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Duties include completing work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory management, and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in property maintenance, and relevant certifications (HVAC optional).

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• May be required to hold various certifications (e.g. HVAC) and licenses.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as a leader, and a collaborative member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
• Tracks inventory, requisitions materials, coordinates with maintenance supervisor.
• Completes documentation for service requests for proper record-keeping.
• Maintains grounds and common areas and performs general cleaning as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Attends safety meetings and complies with OSHA and safety requirements.
• Periodically inspects work by contractors to verify quality.
• Assists in property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills

EPA certifications Type I and II or Un

Valid driver’s license for golf cart

State/Local certifications

Education

High school diploma or GED, related experience/training

HVAC certification (optional)
