Hoffman Construction Co of America seeks a Project Engineer Intern to assist the project team in site logistics, coordination with subcontractors, quality control, scheduling, estimating, BIM/VDC and document control from preconstruction through closeout. Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction
• Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method
• Familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
• Ability to work closely with trades in field work
• Patience, professionalism and cooperative attitude under pressure
• Strong organizational and computer skills; reading/writing/speaking English clearly
• Proficiency in Windows, Office Suite and Bluebeam
• Experience with scheduling tools (Suretrack, Primavera) and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of blueprint construction drawings and technical manuals.
• Write and publish meeting minutes, schedules, and activity checklists.
• Process RFI and change documents issued by other offices.
• Organize and file record documents.
• Field surveying and layout of control lines and benchmarks.
• Manage information storage and retrieval on computers.
• Serve as on-site technical advisor in construction office.
• Access all site areas for progress reviews.
• Communicate clearly in speech and writing for information requests.
• Handle survey equipment and documents up to 40 pounds.
• Plan and organize work; think creatively and independently.
• Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy.
