Job summary

Hoffman Construction seeks an Intern Project Engineer Summer 2027 to support field and preconstruction activities on a Seattle jobsite. The role focuses on site logistics, subcontractor coordination, schedule tracking, BIM/VDC, and document control while ensuring safety and quality on the project.

The candidate will assist with blueprint interpretation, meetings, information requests, and field surveys. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this internship.

Qualifications

• Education in materials and methods of construction.
• Pursuit of BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• Experience organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method.
• Familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
• Ability to work closely with trade and craft people on site.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site logistics, subcontractors and field inspections.
• Assist with schedule management and document control.
• Support BIM/VDC and safety documentation.
• Prepare meeting minutes, graphs and activity checklists.
• Field surveying and layout of control lines and benchmarks.
