Job summary

Hoffman Construction invites applications for the Intern Project Engineer role for the 2026-27 school year in Seattle. The internship is on site and involves coordinating site logistics, inspections, and document control while balancing a 20-hour work week with your studies.

You will work with the project team to learn BIM/VDC, scheduling, estimating, and quality control, with deadlines and safety considerations.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with construction documentation and CSI specification system.
• Ability to work with trade personnel in field settings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site logistics, subcontractors, and field inspections.
• Support schedule management and document control from preconstruction to closeout.
• Assist with BIM/VDC, estimating, and quality control activities.
• Prepare meeting minutes and maintain filing of records.
• Access all areas of the construction site and communicate effectively.
