Job summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to assist the on-site project team in Lake Oswego, Oregon. You will support site logistics, subcontractors, field inspections, quality control, scheduling, estimating, BIM/VDC, and document control from preconstruction through closeout.

This part-time internship (~20 hours/week) offers hands-on learning and real project exposure while you study, with emphasis on teamwork, communication, and practical problem solving.

Qualifications

• Education in construction methods or materials.
• Pursuit of an undergraduate degree in civil or construction-related field.
• Experience organizing technical data is a plus.
• Familiarity with CSI specifications is preferred.
• Able to read blueprints and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and technical manuals.
• Publish meeting minutes, schedules, and checklists.
• Coordinate RFIs and change documents.
• Organize and file record documents.
• Field surveying and layout of control lines.
• Support onsite construction office as technical advisor.
• Communicate clearly with team and stakeholders.
