Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company in Tempe, AZ, seeks a Project Engineer Intern to support the project team in coordinating site logistics, subcontractors, and field inspections while assisting with quality control, scheduling, estimating, BIM/VDC and document control from preconstruction through closeout.

The on-site internship is 40 hours per week, with salary range $25.13–$31.50 per hour plus assignment adjustments where applicable.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method.
• Familiar with CSI specification system for construction.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of blueprint construction drawings and technical manuals.
• Prepare and publish meeting minutes, schedule graphs and activity checklists.
• Process RFIs and change documents issued by other offices.
• Organize and file record documents.
• Field surveying and layout of control lines and benchmarks.
• Manage information storage and retrieval using computers.
• Serve as on-site technical advisor in construction office.
