Job summary

Kokosing is seeking an on-site Construction Engineer to lead and manage engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects. You will coordinate teams, ensure adherence to contract requirements, and support the project schedule with Primavera P6.

Qualified candidates have a Civil Engineering background with 4+ years in construction engineering; bridge experience is a strong plus, and PE is preferred but not required. Join a firm with long-standing industry presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent training.
• 4+ years of construction engineering experience on heavy/highway projects.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite construction engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects.
• Manage project engineering personnel, assignments, and performance; disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and support the project schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support in planning, design interpretation, methods, and resolving design conflicts.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures, submittals, RFIs, material expediting, and pay requests.
• Represent company during meetings with A/E, clients and project management.
• Interface onsite departments to resolve issues and maintain schedule quality.
• Oversee pre-construction, design-build services and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments as directed.
